Bleasby War Memorials

The St Mary's Church war memorial was raised as a permanent testament to the sacrifice made by the members of the local community who lost their lives in the First World War along with the names of the men from the parish who fell in the Second World War, which were later added.  

The Aircrews Memorial erected in 2018 remembers the names of 41 airmen who died in aircraft crashes in the area of Bleasby, Nottinghamshire during WWII. There is also a plaque for the unknown airmen who also died in the area whilst serving their countries and who have not been identified.

Centenary Wood is sited in the heart of Jubilee Ponds, an area reserved for local parishioners and owned by Bleasby Parish Council. It was established in 2014 to commemorate the centenary of the start of the Great War (1914-1919). 

The plaque on Bleasby Village Hall was put in place by the Bleasby British Legion members when it was founded in the late 1930s. The plaque records 36 names of men who served and were not killed in action.
