Major R V Morris - Sherwood Foresters
Captain (acting Major) Robert Varley Morris
- 14th Btn. Sherwood Foresters - killed whilst on service in Italy, 13th November, 1945 - Age 33
- Robert was the son of Robert and Katharine Morris of Little Firs (now Little Dower House), Bleasby, and sister of Katharine Morris.
- He was the husband of Winifred Morris, of Keighley Yorkshire.
- Buried - Bari War Cemetery, Puglia, Italy
Staff Sergeant Roy Hall - Royal Artillery

Wing Commander William Graham - 304 (Polish) Squadron
- Killed in action on the night of 8th/9th May, 1941 when his Wellington aircraft was shot down over Germany whilst on a bombing mission. He was 29, and about to become a father of his son Alastair, who was born two weeks after his death.
- William Graham came to live at Forge Cottage, Bleasby with his new wife Jean in December, 1940. He was born in Malay States (now Malaysia). He joined the RAF in the 1930s and served in the North West Frontier, now part of Afghanistan, before returning to the UK at the start of the war in 1939.
- He was appointed senior liaison officer for the newly formed 304 (Polish) Squadron which was based at Syerston.

- His name was added to the St Marys Church War Memorial during the refurbishment in 2015. He is buried in CWWG Reichswald Forest War Cemetery in Germany alongside the other members of his crew.
