Hello All

Cllr Sue Saddington of Notts CC has sent us the link below to a survey for the general public about the opening hours of the UTC at Newark Hospital. Cllr Saddington believes that the surveys could have given more provision for wider views, so she advises you to put in anything which concerns you somewhere on the form where there is a space.

At present Newark Hospital is open from 9am until 9:30pm. Outside of these times you must travel to King’s Mill, QMC or Lincoln. The survey asks if you are happy with this situation.

Please take the time to complete the survey so your thoughts are taken into account.

Cllr Sue Saddington has also alerted us to public briefings given by the ICB on these proposals which she recommends that you attend to hear the information first hand.

The following is the information from the ICB:

Our first online event is taking place on Wednesday 4 October 2023 from 6.30pm – 8pm via Microsoft Teams. Here is the link to attend the event if you are unable to register.

Thursday 12 October 2023, 11am – 12noon, North Muskham Community Centre, Nelson Lane, Newark, NG23 6HL. This is a face to face meeting.

Our second online event is taking place on Saturday 14 October 2023 from 10am – 11.30am via Microsoft Teams. Here is a link to attend the event if you are unable to register.

This is a genuine consultation , the ICB do require your views.

Contrary to general belief , decisions have not been made.

In November, the ICB will return to the Health Scrutiny Committee which Cllr Saddington chairs and will be questioned , hence the reason she is attending the briefings , so can form an opinion from the comments
