The Parish Council were notified by NSDC Planning as follows:

"The Planning Committee has recently reviewed.... a number of aspects with one of the key matters being whether the public should be allowed to speak at Planning Committee. As you will all be aware, a report was presented to Full Council in February to enable the Planning Committee to consider allowing public speaking. The Planning Committee voted in favour of allowing public speaking which now enables (from Planning Committee on 9th May):

  • applicants or their agent, or supporter in absence of either an applicant/agent wishing to speak;
  • objector;
  • Town /Parish councillors (incl. meetings) and
  • Ward Members.

The time limit permitted for public speaking, when this comes into effect, will be 3 minutes for each speaker. Currently, you will be aware, that it is 5 minutes for both Ward Members and TPC"
