Preparing & Useful Contacts

It is the responsibility of each individual resident to take action in order to remain informed about the potential flood status in their area and then to take appropriate action in the event of a flood.

The FAG would recommend the following sources of information:

  • For advanced warning and alerts by email and telephone, sign up to the Gov.UK website - click here
  • Nottinghamshire County Council provide a comprehensive guide on preparing for flooding - click here
  • A person flood plan provided by the Environmental Agency - click here

The FAG team would also request that residents remain vigilant and report any concerns they may have about potential flooding to Elaine France.
