Volunteering Groups

Bleasby Community Website Volunteering Groups NEW

There are plenty of opportunities to with help out in Bleasby, Goverton and Gibsmere by getting involved with volunteering.

In todays busy world it's hard to find time, but many hands make light work and there is nothing more rewarding than giving a few hours of your precious time to help maintain and grow your local community.

Bleasby has an active and progressive Parish Council which is focussed on helping meet the desires and needs of it's community, as defined by the 2018 Parish Plan which is based on input from the community.

The plan now need implementing and subsequently many of the local residents have started to help by getting involved with volunteering groups that are focussed on delivering the range of goals and objectives identified.

This section of the website outlines the volunteering groups that have been set up to focus on delivering the Parish Plan, such as the Events Group, Communications Group and most recently the Traffic Management Group. There are also teams of volunteers involved in established voluntary groups such as Bleasby Flood Action Group and Neighbourhood Watch along with a number of "behind the scenes" volunteers who provide many hours of their time to help with maintaining Jubilee Ponds, Ferry End and the general upkeep of the village.

Many thanks goes to all those involved and hopefully we can inspire more to take part in the future - please take a look at the Volunteering Group pages for more information.
