Welcome to the Parish of Bleasby community website.
For first time visitors to Bleasby, the Visit Bleasby section gives an introduction to local attractions such as Bleasby War Memorials, St Mary's Church, Glebe Field and Hazelford Ferry & the River Trent. You can also find some local history and ideas for outdoor recreation along with information on travel and where to get fed and watered.
You can keep up to date with what's going on via the News and Events pages, along with our local newsletter, Bleasby News and our Bleasby Village Facebook page. You can sign up for email alerts about new events and news as its released, by following the link on the right hand side of each website page.
The section on village amenities include introductions to Bleasby Primary School, Playgroup, the Village Hall, St Mary's Church and Jubilee Ponds along with information about the local defibrillator and public transport. A further page provides useful links to many of the local services and facilities.
There are many local interest groups, each with a page dedicated to their activities in the parish. These include Bleasby Bikers, the local History Society, Camemberts Running Club, the Book Group, Whist Club and Lunch Club and a regular Friendship Coffee Morning. Other fun and activity can be found at with the Wellbeing Circle, the Swing Into Shape group, Kundalina Yoga and Wednesday Group, not to mention a thriving WI and an active Countryside and Footpaths Group.
The Memory Lane pages provide for a community library of photos taken at events and happenings around the village, past and present- please send in your photos or ideas for new albums as they arise ([email protected]).
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with helping the community through volunteering. Please visit the Volunteering Groups pages where you can find out more about some of the local activities such as Neighbourhood Watch, Flood Action Group, an Events Group.
Bleasby Parish Council own this website domain and maintain the Parish Council pages. The rest of the site pages are administered by local volunteers and the site is hosted by Hugo Fox, a specialist website provider to Parish Councils.
